Last night's jam
Here is a selection from last night's jam session with a bud. Basic track is live rhythm guitar, vocal & organ with canned bass & drums, added lead & percussion afterwards. The lyric is blubbering, but liked the progression so just went with it. I wanna be your puppy dog!

That sounds like a fun jam!!
The lead sounds great - I do wish it were a little louder - more forward in the mix, because it really is good. That's a great tone you're getting - which amp/effects are you using?
Great jam - and thanks for sharing it!

Har Jim. The lead was just right in the mix for me. Pc speaker quality is all over the place. Good vocals on that. Nice crunchy tone on the lead. Cool

Allthumbs and I always hear mixes differently. It's always a miracle when I record something that sounds mixed well to him!
The lead volume was probably perfect and it's just my screwed up system .... argh...

Nice, I do a monthly jam night with the guys - thats about as serious as it gets for my brother and I. We have a lot of fun, and stop short of it becoming work. Vocals are the strong part here, typically the hardest part to get! The lead stood out fine on my system.

Yeh, I always love it when the melody comes out when you have an idea instrumentally. I will have to cook up some real lyrics. Thanks for the feedback.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
