Thanks for the kind words; I used audacity and used a pick playing three melody lines in different areas of the fretboard, then played the chords for it and mixed it together.
Thanks again,

Great job man, that sounded really good I thought. What are you using to to record it, I am always intersted in the technical stuff others are doing. I am trying to figure out how you guys take different parts recorded at differnt times and get them back in the right place when it's time to final mix. Not really getting something myself, they never seem to line up just right for me.

Hi John, I basically used Audacity, which is a free program, recorded a part, then recorded a second part, etc.. I was using a Labtec AM-252 PC microphone. The beauty of Audacity is that you can hear the part you already recorded while recording another, but it is is good to use headphones as the sound of the part you recorded first might bleed into the recording of the second...

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
