  The Dark Island

Just thought I'd post another arrangement I've made of a Scottish tune. (Yes, yet another - but blame Simon, he put the idea in my head.)
It's got lots of twiddly bits of the kind that Les likes, as they stir his clan MacEwan genes.
Despite the traditional sound, it's not. It was written for a movie in the 60s so I won't post the tab this time.

Hope you like it

I like the twiddly bits.

It's great listening, and, it sounds like a good tune to use as a self-teaching tool.

Thanks very much folks - You've inspired me to do some more. Time for a change, though. I'll give the Scottish stuff a rest for a while - promise.

  Electric?

That was great! Would it be blasphemy to attempt the same song with a stadium-sized electric tone?

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
