Back to taunt you some more

Three postings in one day - your poor ears!
I wrote this in Open D tuning and wanted to include some slap harmonics and percussion. I recorded this by myself, and it is a bit 'twangier' than I would have liked, and I think I could have done with a hand to capture the end section with a better balance.

Man, that was great Scotty!

I could listen to you all day.

The picking is great -- I've been trying to ressurect mine, and yours is a model for me to follow.

The ending was cool! I felt kinda like I was at an Indian sitar concert with tabla and the sitar and tabla were interacting to end an exciting piece.

Great!

Jim

Nice!

I feel the guitar is a little "Twangy". I might cut some high mids, somewhere around 4K or so.

Thanks very much
yes RB I agree it is too twangy. I have tried a fw things but the basic tone hasn't changed much.

Nice composition and good playing. As you said, I think the ending could have came across better.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
