[cover] My first...
So, here's my first recording EVER that's been "exposed"... I have never played in front of the audience as well... (except members of my household and neighbours, who, btw, hate me because of "noises" coming out of my room...)
I have to say that I was recording with a PC mic worth 2-2.5 euros, so a lot of processing is involved... In Audacity, of course. Hence, you'll have to turn the volume up... Also, I had a problem accidentally deleting the file, and I think it was a bit damaged during recovery... (now I think it would have been a lot easier if I had just re-recorded)
About playing: you can hear missing one pull-off at the very beginning... I'm not pulling off fast enough, so it happends to me here and there... But I've surely redeemed myself ten seconds later, haven't I? Also, I have mutted and buzzing strings on some occasions... This is because I play mostly with a pick, so my playing hand isn't skillful enough... (I say playing and fretting hand to avoid confusion because I'm playing lefthanded) And I was playing with fingers, not with nails, one more reason to turn the volume up...
Edit: btw, it's intro to Metallica's Nothing Else Matters...
This is my first, so PLEASE comment it...!

Thanks D-Dawn... I appreciate it so much...
It's a bit odd to me that you haven't heard the song... I mean, you're from USA, and I have an impression that Metallica are big stars there...?

Sweet NamiguShin! Nice job, sounds great, plenty loud enough too. Not all of us USA folks are into Metallica but that was a great job no matter who wrote it! Thanks for sharing...

Thanks a lot John! It really means to me!
I'm from small country, and if a tune is a hit and is often on TV, then everybody knows it, rich or poor, old or young, no matter what genre it is... Well, not literally, but it's not far from truth. I do understand that it's diferent in USA.

Sounds really good! Your recording is very good for the gear you used.

Nicely done namiGushin. Good selection too. I'm an old guy but oddly enough, I really like the Metallica group's guitar portions. Extraordinary talent there and your rendition sounded just fine.

Thanks guys! These comments are really motivating...
Hey, D-Dawn, no need for tomatos. But still, the question is was my playing so bad you haven't recognized the tune... Just kiddin', of course
I like Metallica, too, chammon, but just their early work... Now they're more like showbiz-hollywood-mainstream-I-don't-know-what stuff. They were ok 'till ...and justice for all, including it.
And I think my recordings would be even better in the future with tips RockerBob gave me today...!
Keep on playin'!

Very impressive namiguShin, I'm an old guy too, but I recognised (and liked) the tune.
Well played, and the recording quality and volume came across pretty good on my pc.
Thanks for sharing a great first recording

Nice job NamiguShin! Great first upload.
That microphone is surely doing a good job - the volume was fine and I could hear all the details in the music.
Keep 'em coming - and congrats on a fine start!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
