It's me to annoy yous' again

Hi

This is a bit of a song I am writting and playing , I did not add vocals to my post , as I am looking for feed back on my playing as I know I can't sing
( just thought I would let you all know that so you don't need ear plugs )

I am fairly happy with this as this is as good as I get ( no alcohol here )

I like the strum pattern I came up with , I think my chord changes are OK , but I know I need to improve on everything ..

Please tell me if there is something I can do to improve this , I played this one on my electric Ashton ( not my Fredda Fender Acustic/ Electric I usually record )

Please Please , if I am doing something tragically wrong Please tell me ...

Please all feed back is welcome

So come on and feed my back

Trev.....

Nothing tragic. I think you need to make the intro and outro more interesting. It is kind of bland and really doesn't seem to connect to the body of the tune. Check your tuning. Sounds like your bass strings are off a bit. You recorded much too loud. You were getting a lot of buzz or clipping.
The chord changes where smooth for the most part and you kept the strumming interesting. Just needs some polishing and tweaking in the recording proccess. Sounds like you already knew what you had to work on before you asked which is a good thing.

Thanks Allthumbs

You say more interesting , do you mean scrap what I have as a intro and outro and play some string bending or even walking up and down the chords I am playing ?

Too loud , darn I actually thought I had it right this time ohh well perfect practice makes perfect , thanks mate ..

Good playing Trev!!

Just recording issues that AT pointed out (those are the hardest to perfect, I think - I rarely seem to really get the recording right) and possibly that bottom string is out of tune, also picked up by AT.

But chords, strumming and the basic song - all good!

I think your intro and outro are too linear. Try holding the underlying chord and noodling with the notes of the chord plus some notes surounding it to add some variety.

Hi Hilch,
Sounds like you are making progress. Some nice variation in there. Allthumbs made some good comments about adding a little variety into some of the parts that sounded a bit repetitive. Nice little tune!
