  Georgia on my mind

Just an excerpt, not overly happy with the tone, think I have done better.
Anyway, it is a lovely tune to play!

Beautiful, Scott. Yet another great arrangement ... it seems there's an infinite number of great Georgia arrangements! That's a sweet sounding guitar you've got there.

Thank you everyone.
I put this arrangement together some time ago. I watched a video of a guy named Rick Ruskin pwned by a guy I knew at uni. I had not heard of him before, but he played a version of this. I made him replay it a few times and then I went home and tried to remember it...and this came out.
The guitar was my Taylor with the expression system pickup, through a Mindprint preamp, into an Egosys audio card, and then recorded within Cubase.
I would like to record the whole arrnagement with mics and the pickup blended together. I have a Rode K2 and Rode NT3 that work well (very well with the K2), and my silly neighbour is away at the moment, so I can hopefully really get a lot done.

Great job Scotty of this classic tune, personally I really liked the tone. Great arrangement too, it is also very similar to a version that Martin Taylor plays. Check out a clip here (it takes about 30 secs or so to load up).

hey thanks guys
I have heard Martin's version before, but I heard it about 6 years after I originally did it. There are some similarities, and also some huge differences, so I wonder if he had heard Rick Ruskin's arrangement too? After I put it together I went back to see that version again at my friend's place and there were places where I had changed it too.
I would like to learn Martin's version one day, as he puts so many lovely little runs into it, and some lovely harmonic movement. I have been thinking about pinching his verse section for the second verse of mine, so I would use the block chord approach through once and then his chords and lines in the second.
Thanks for the video - he is a freak!
