  A little bit of Chet

Hey Guys
Just a little bit of Chet - recorded with the pickup and straight into the PC. May be a little soft, as I am having some real issues with the sound card at the moment, with both volume and the PC crashing.

Liked it a lot, Scotty. Accurate rendition with some nice touches of your own too. Nice.

You've got some very talented fingers Scotty... Wow, what a cool recording...!!!
I really enjoyed that Bro...!!!

Sorry about your PC problems. I find that Cubase can be a real hog at times and uses up
way too many resources... One of these days I'll build a PC just for recording... Just not
in the budget right now...

Cheers
Ben

Thanks very much guys
Ben - I have a PC set up like that - one that has just a few programmes and that is all. It was running quite well until recently. I have a desk and some decent mics but it was too noisy around my place today - my neighbour is a mechanic who likes to work on cars all day everyday.
I am planning on biulding another PC in about a year or so, once the new operating system is out. I will look at going up to Cubase SX 4 then , which I assume will be around by that stage, and then get as much ram as possible in it. I have a couple of VSTi things that are real hogs. I don't know if you have come across DFH Superior or not, but that wants as much memory as available, and then some. I think the new OS will handle up to 16 gig from what I have heard.

Very nice! The only thing I missed was the bend in the first phrase (and each repeat).

Great work Scotty! Excellent picking and use of harmonics.

OMG - you're right!! Captain Kirk and Scotty are aboard... And it really is STAR Trek (STAR in the music star type meaning).

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
