She's No Lady
Did you ever fund a tune you like, but just can't muster the required mojo? I worked out the chords and stuff without too much trouble, but I just can't seem to nail it.
Anyway, I'm done fooling with this for now

....and a lucky woman she is too. RB, If there's anything wrong with that I think only perfectionists like Brian Wilson or Todd Rundgren would be able to pick it out. I enjoyed it very much. If you twisted my arm I'd say the vocal could be a bit more involved, not quite up to the 'Hallelujah' standard, but that's only a minor issue.

Hey this is great stuff. Vocals and guitar work!

Thanks for the support! I just couldn't get mojo in the vocal or the lead guitar. I feel it's OK - good enough to post - but I just couldn't get it to "Pop!"

Don't be so hard on yourself, it's great. There's lots of character in your voice and your playing is 'somethin else'!! Loved it.

Thanks!
Some years back when my parents came out for a visit, I got my Dad to sing with me in my studio. He did a great job, but he also called me a perfectionist. I don't really think that's true. I'm far too lazy to be a perfectionist. I don't want my recordings to suck, though, so I guess I'm a antisuckist.

Thanks!
I guess what I meant when I said it didn't "pop" was that I didn't feel it truely fell into the groove. When it does, it's like it's snapped in, glued to the groove. There's nothing really wrong with this recording, but I never felt the groove materialize as tight as I would like.
It just goes to show ya! You can always find ways to pick apart your playing/singing.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
