  Little Martha

Hey Nocat, here's an example of an awful recording...yeah..I'm looking into some real equipment, at least a Shure 57 for starters, then I'll go from there..( I slid the mic to the left..I was too lazy to slide the chair to the right)...high tech here.Anyway this finger-picking's getting to me ..here goes

That's beatifully done, Garry ... with a good mic and a bit of tweaking, you could easily do an album of those. You have an authentic feel for it, that's for sure.

Really enjoyed that. The recording makes the strings sound a bit harsh which is a shame as it is quite a tender, melancholic piece. Nice.

That's superb bonsaiman. Loved it. Will you do the same one again when you get your new gear?

Cool

Excellent job, as always Garry!
The best recording equipment in the world can't mask crappy playing, and even less than perfect recording gear can't mess up a good artist! Nice job.

Thank you all kindly for the positive response's, I gave it my best crack with what I have. That's the good news...don't mean to bring everyone down, but I gotta get this off my chest..My wife of 22yrs,just informed me(3 1/2hrs ago )she wants a divorce( I'm not joking)...she "fell out of love with me"...I'm in a state of shock at the moment..and don't know quite how I'm gonna deal with this. Screwed up part is, you guys are the first to get wind of it. I'll be around when I can, right now it's "comforting"..Sorry to bring that up, but I had to release .I'm bummin' badly.......

Sincere Thanks Guys,
Garry....(now shut-up and play)

Garry I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear your news, I do know how you feel, believe me. You will go thro some unbelievably bad times before it gets any better, but you will get over it in the future if you let yourself.
I'm sure you will get help and support from your friends here on the forum, there are quite a few here who've been thro what you are suffering now.
I, for one, am thinking of you my friend, you are still loved here.
Don't give up on your guitar, she won't let you down.

In a strange way, posting on the forum, and getting a response helps the situation a lot, so keep dropping in, don't let loneliness get you.

Best of luck mate,

Geoff

Garry ... what can I say? I'm feeling for you ... Most of us have at one time or another gone through one these heart wrenching episodes; it all becomes past history though, as Geoff says, and in my case at least, was by far the best thing that could have happened for me.

Keep that guitar handy, you're going to be doing a lot of writing. Make sure you record all your ideas! You can turn this into a whole album.

Hang in there, Garry ... we're all here for you.
