My 1st Recording - I Shall Not Walk Alone
Well, here it is!! My first recording!! Its not very good, both the recording and the guitar playing, but for only playing 1.5 months, I am surprised. It's Ben Harper's "I Shall Not Walk Alone" on my electric. Sounds different, but still cool. I can't get the hammer ons and pull offs to ring right on my acoustic. Let me know what ya think. I need to work on timing and rhythm. I missed some notes and whatnot, but it was my first try. Anyways, thanks for listening....
PS- I get the priviledge of seeing Ben live on Wed!!! Can't wait!

Keep at it bro, you'll be shredding in no time...!!!

That's amazing after such a short time. Well done.

I wish I could have played that well after 1-1/2 months!
Maybe i'd be as good as Kirk is now!

I think you did a great job. the notes were very clean, the timing does need work but for only playing under 2 months, wow.

Thanks guys that means soooo much. All of the kind words are very appreciated. I guess taking some lessons, and ordering (yet still trying to get it down) the Planetalk Method, and practicing, practicing, practicing have paid off. haha. Thanks everyone. I can't wait to post more!!!
FYI - the tabs for all ben's songs are at http://benharpertablatures.free.fr/tabsindex2.htm

Wow, I really like that. You have done a wonderful work. It is melancholic in nature kind of like my heart. Music speaks volumes and you have spoken it well.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
