My 3rd Finger Style Song - Enya
Hi Friends
This is my 3rd finger-style arrangment and i've been playing finger-picking Guitar for a little more than a month now. This is song "Only Time" from Enya.
I really feel for the many rattles, that i make while playing, but one of the the main hurdles i faced in this song was, In more than 90% of the song, bass notes have to be played by the thumb on the 6th string, and i need to practice a lot to get that really smooth. I think its a good way to get better at this technique too
And i've also tried to use hammer-ons and pull-offs whereever i found appropriate. I've used a cheap computer mic for recording and hence the low quality.
Kindly tell me, whether i'm getting somewhere near my dream of becomin a better Finger-style Player.
Kind Regds
Kush
P.S : This is my first attempt at recording the song and i've to polish it a lot more.

I honestly enjoyed that Kush...very nice. I think you showed quite a bit of control with smooth transitions.I'm having a time with this finger-style..I'm doing the 2-finger shuffle, it's like learning a new instrument.....anyways, ya sounded great kiddo!

Bravo Kush!
Sounded great, simple and melodic. I'm a real rookie at this guitar playing thing, but it sounded smooth to me. I can't give you any more feedback than that, I'll leave that to the experts!

That was inspiring Kush...!!! I'm in the same boat as Garry, my index and thumb took
over and won't let any of the others join in the fun...!!!
That's a nice sounding guitar you have there... Nice tone...!!!

Wow Kush you sure do make fast progress!! Your thumb work sounded great to me, in fact the whole piece did. A well chosen tune, lovely, and very well played.
The outro was brilliant.
Proud of you mate.

Godd stuff, Kush. I've heard that song on the radio quite a bit recently and you've got it just right. Did you work it out yourself, of work from a tab? Great ending.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
