  Got the new axe.....

And I think it keeps a tune a little better.
Here's a short Allegro by Fernado Sor.
And Kirks take on Tears in Heaven.

Things are getting a little easier after a year of trials and tribulation. I can actually start to move fingers with some sense of command. Great fun!

Well done MCH, nice sounding guitar, nice flow you're getting there. You're well on your way to having total command.

It's not really a new guitar. Just an extending joke in regards to my spoof on the Desperado video; where I destroyed a derelict guitar that had no further use. I think on these takes I used my Yamaki Custom on the Allegro and an Epiphone EJ200 on the Tears.

It's quite amazing how the fingers soon seem to co-operate. When I first tried fingerpicking I thought it was impossible. But with some practice, ok a LOT of practice, things start to happen. Practice is the bottom line; I'm sure if one were talented things might come a little easier. But unfortunately I have the tough row to hoe. But I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

Sounding good , ist quite good fun once everything starts to come together isnt it? and then someone posts a video of some guy playing so fast that that light at the end of the tunnel seems to be moving away. But if we didnt enjoy the journey we wouldn't be here right? Anyways, happy pickin' and keep em coming.

Good on ya MCH!

It's really commendable to see how much effort your putting into being progressive on guitar.
Your right about practice being integral to improvement. My ol' dad was a firm believer in the importance of good practice.

The old saying that "practice makes perfect" may not be literally true BUT when you listen to some of the guitar greats out there, you know that practice has brought them pretty dam close.

You got me good with that spoof. I have seen someone do that for real so I wasn't ready to call it a joke till I heard back from you.

My remark on the smashed guitar video was to get a tuner. Glad it was just a joke, and your new recording is great.

That video was seriously funny and, as Allthumbs said, no-one was 100% sure whether it was a spoof or not. Well, now you've shown everyone you can definitely play - sounding great - but, are you really that bad a singer?
