Great stuff, PickNGrin. That's a great solo your brother plays ... in the other room! Very authentic, thanks for posting that.

After reading the title of your post I was expecting something a bit different in the video. It was funny when your brother realised the webcam was on, it was pretty sly the way you stood in front of it when he stepped up to sing the second verse. Your version reminded me more of Hendrix's version which he recorded as a kind of loose jam and had a lot of fun with it. Good stuff.

That was cool. I'm a big fan of the Pick n' Grin guitar approach to guitar playing. That's how I found this site in the first place. I'm glad I did. Really great bunch of folks.

It's all about fun for us, as you can see we're not too serious! We're have a jam tonight with a drummer and bass player joining us. I'm making a ton of pizza, they guys are bringing the beer. We record the sessions, I doubt there will be anything that good but if there is I'll post a clip.

Hiya Joehere1. I too thought pick and his Brothers rendition of Gloria was neat. The original version was recorded by a band who recorded under the name of 'Them', with a youthful Van Morrison on vocals, check them out.
Just a three chord baby this one. We used to play it in E D and A (open chords). A good tune to raise the volume on. Have fun.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
