Hi Dustin
Your right it does sound pretty, but unfortunately nothing comes to mind at the moment.
But don't worry, someone else out there in our wonderful guitar community may know it and help you out.

hmm. Well the melody doesn't ring a bell. But if I were to name a melancholy melody such as this it might be "Broken Heart".
Thanks.

I agree with chuckswood, it sounds like a classical finger-picking exercise...

Sounds like one of those études by Fernando Sor. Do a quick Google search for a catlog of Sor tunes ... I bet you'll find it amongst them all.

It sounds like variations on "Stairway."

Yes, I agree.
This was one of the first pieces I ever learned. But it was a long time ago, and I can't remember the name. It's probably by Sor, and it's probably called "Étude No.X(?) in E minor".
I still have the sheet music somewhere. I'll let you know if I find it.
It's a very good exercise for starting to develop your right-hand finger-picking technique, and it's also very pleasant-sounding.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
