That is excellent for only playing 6 months!! Did you do both the acoustic and lead guitar?
I think it sounds good. There is room for some improvement (the ending seems haggard?)...but recording yourself is great to listen and look back at to gauge your development.
All the same, thank you very much for sharing ModalThinking.

LOL...!
Well....it was really well done for playing for only as long as you said. You must have had some training in another area of music..? Seem to be moving around and hearing things very well. In any case, keep practicing daily. It will be cool to see you on stage someday!
BTW...I love Clapton's Unplugged album. Inspired me to start playing guitar.
Keep on Twangin' as they say...

Welcome modalthinking. That is coming along nicely. You need to smooth out some of those chord changes and maybe balance the mix a little more so the acoustic part doesn't get drowned out. Playing the melody on top of the chords was a nice touch. Keep it up. Your doing well.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
