slide for mcollett
This is the song on an old cheap classical guitar tuned to E,A,E,A,C#,E. I'm just learning slide too, so bear with me.

That sounded pretty good. You could throw in a few more slide vibratos to get the strings ringing more. Good stuff.

That was a very tasty number! I'd love to learn to play slide. I heard a slide (pedal slide I think) when I was a little kid (many, many years) and totally fell in love with the sound.

Hey Bernie "O", that was pretty darn good. For a guy back east you sure have that Delta sound.
I'm a beginner, only bought my first guitar this past x-mas. Have the Kiss me alot lesson at about 80% and have now started on the Starry Night lesson. As I get more familiar I will be introducing some blues and then the slide.
Thanks again,
Mike

Hey Les,
Where in KY are you located?
I'm yet another for the Cincy area. Loveland to me more exact.
Up by Kings Island. Interesting so many from the area have come together at a web site originating half way around the earth.
Or perhaps, it relects the quality web master(s) making the site accesable.
Either way it works for me.

Amazing job...! I love the juxaposition of notes that happens at the end with the two guitar tracks.
But you hold the melody line very well even with being on a slide. I always seem to rattle something or hit the notes between the notes. (is that possible? )
Even so, fun to listen too...I'd love to hear it expand with lyrics possibly? Or even just jammed out more.
Thanks for sharing...

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
