My First Ever Finger-style Recording !!! Please Comment
Dear All
I'm kush from India and i'm new to the forum. I've been playing my guitar on my own for about 2 years now. Its been my dream to master the finger-style guitar playing and i've been struggling with it for about a month now. I had learnt a song "LOVE ME TENDER", and this is the only song i know to play in finger style , though now i'm confident that i've found this beautiful site, where i know that if i concentrate , i'll improve myself.
I'M SORRY FOR THE MISTAKES AND THE PAUSES...
please give me your comments and suggestions, i feel i would feel a bit more confident the next time, (i'm a bit shy now as i'm playing for people for the first time )
Jean please give me your comments too !!!

I agree, very nice, a couple of rough changes and a little bit fuzzy recording, but for the most part your playing is very good. Have a good one and keep em coming.

That sounded great Kush!
I'm not a pro, but I would say your on your way to becoming a great fingerstyle guitarist! Keep recording mate, I know what its like to record for the first time just knowing that people will be listening used to make me slow down and tense up, and I would record one song about twenty or more times before posting it up... Anyway that was some great playing!
Can't wait for the next one!
Cheers,
Jean

Very good, haven't heard that song in a long time. Keep up the good work, if that was your first, you should be proud.

Thanks, I really enjoyed that (big Elvis fan). The pauses aren't anything to worry about and as for the shyness, well quite a few people here have mentioned feeling the same way. The best way to overcome it is to keep posting.

Hi Kush.
Thanks for posting that ... very well done indeed. You are most definitely a guitarist; all you need now is more playing under your strap, keep those fingers getting used to what they must do ... what you tell them to do! You'll find that if you are very demanding of your fingers, order them around mercilessly, put them through all kinds of tests ... they eventually cave in and simply obey. You're the boss of those fingers, in other words.
I'm sure you've already seen the lesson of that same tune here ... if not, it's here. It's a much different arrangement.
One of your compatriots is over here for the big Tamworth Country Music Festival we have here in Oz. He's very good (can't remember his name), was on morning TV the other day, played and sang. He has a wonderful finger rhythm thechnique, very individual. Great voice, good songs.
Keep it up Kush. Your signature says it all.
