ive been playing guitar for about a year, and i play lead guitar in a band i formed with my friend called Third World Country. I play lead guitar. If anyone has any advice for my lead playing it would be greatly appreciated.
You sound pretty good for only playing for a year. You need to work on your mix though. Was that live recorded? I would suggest you record one track at a time so you can balance the voulme. The rythm guitar drowned you out several times. It would also give you the ability to change the levels of your reverb, a little too heavy in my opinion as well as adding guitar fxs. You really got that 60s distortion vibe going on with your axe.Reminds me of my hippie days. Just keep playing and it will all come together.
this is a totally unbiased response. I would invest in kirk's book and DVD. I've been soloing away free years and have used all sorts of methods and ideas, but in a short space of time
of been practising with Kirk's help I can tell you is made huge difference.
