That's coming along nicely. Sounds like your struggling a bit with playing that high E string cleanly. Check your overall tuning to make sure you are not playing slightly slack string. That can muffle the E string. How long has it been between string changes? The high E string tends to sound dead with old strings. Of course it could also be that your just barely touching the string with your other fingers which will muffle the sound.
The strumming was very well done. Your doing great lets here more from you.

Thought so. I was really into it and that E string kept pulling me back out.

Coming along nicely,
I should get back at this song myself. I learned the intro some time ago but moved on to other things and left it behind.
Learning to play guitar and seeing all the TABs and sheet music out there is like a kid in a candy store.

Use A minor instead of A major in chorus and it'll sound better.

Nice playing!
Other than the same high E string issue that AT mentioned, you did really well and I'd love to hear you record this again with a fresh set of strings on!

As i play it (i will get around to recording it one day )
i play e|-3-2-0 Em D Dsus4 C through the verse (so close no matter how far, etc)
then e|-2/3 G B7 Em
and for the chorus (never cared for what the do) i play C A D (strum d a bit)
by my ear that sounds pretty right.... i can only finger pick the intro and the bridge, so i strum the chords so it fits...
But sounds like a great "rendition" i agree with AllThumbs on the high E-string thing...

That's sounding great, Kiwisa. You've got the music in you, that's for sure. It sounds to me like if you just relax a little, it will all begin to flow better. Don't let those chord changes tense you up. I'm not sure what kind of guitar you're playing, but I remember my own learning, way back when, really accelerated dramtically the day I bought my first 'good' guitar. By that I mean: friendly, well set up, good intonation, ease of playing ... it doesn't necessarily mean expensive
You're gifted; keep playing, never stop.
Edit: ... just noticed how old this thread is ... how's it going now Kiwisa? I'd love to hear you playing it now!
