  A small compilation

These are some of the songs i have been working on, again not 100% but still enjoying every second of playing. Thanks for a fantastic site and for the great lessons Kirk.
I too get nervous when recording or playing for anyone else than my family.

Those nerves are annoying aren't they? It happens to me also. It's frustrating when you know you can play something perfectly until someone comes into earshot, then you tense up and it sounds like you're playing the guitar with your toes rather than fingers. Apart from that, and a couple of tuning issues, you're starting to sound good. You've got that thumb going well.

That is really good Kiwisa. I don't have any musical knowledge or any background in music, but it sounds great.

I can play them better when i have a good finger day and i have just changed the strings on that guitar as it was long overdue.

You're doing well Kiwisa. You're getting a nice tone out of that guitar ... it's just a little out of tune though.

One of the easiest and most effective ways of improving your sound is to be as close to perfectly in tune as you can. If the problem is the guitar, like a bridge that has moved a bit, then get it fixed. If it's old strings refusing to tune up, change them.

Squeaks and flubbed notes, timing errors, those kind of mistakes ... they just last an instant, they come and go ... an out of tune guitar, however, lasts the whole tune, and turns even the best playing sour throughout.

I can hear your dedication in those tunes though ... good on ya
