Agustin Barrios Mangore - Mvt 1 La Catedral
A bit of classical guitar for you.
I been playing this one for about a week, it's a deceptively difficult piece, as it sounds really easy, but when you are playing it, it's far from easy.
There are I think 3 movements to this piece, each one a virtuso piece in itself, I am working on 2 now, looked at movement 3 and raised an eyebrow.
This is a single guitar piece, no overdubs or second guitars or effects for that matter.
I don't think I played it as well as I possibly could, but it's not bad.
Played on a Raimundo Nylon strung guitar, I play it better on an electric guitar, as the Raimundo doesn't have any markers on the guitar above the 7th fret, and I not really had it long enough to know exactly where the 12th fret is without looking, but the electric guitar just doesn't sound right.
Anyway I hope you like.

Beautiful piece well played. I would be curious to hear how it sounds on an electric, though.

Thanks for all the kind words, been busy working on movement 2 tho it's not quite as good, has its moments tho. Movement 2 is learnt but going to take a bit to get the timing good enough to record, movement 3 just is incredibly hard.
I added the electric version so you can hear it, one of the problems I noticed was after playing a nylon strung classical sized guitar, when I played on the electric, I pressed soo hard on the strings that it put the note ever soo slightly out of tune, its odd occasionally you can even hear the note going.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
