  another A minor blues movie

Heres another take. Hope it gives somebody some new ideas, but in reality it's just a bunch of old style blues licks. JB

You have some really good phrases in there... There are parts that are really good. I would love to be able to do what you are doing. I am just not there yet.

Thanks for posting that John. Those old style blues licks served a lot of big name players pretty well. Like they say, tone is in the fingers and you have it in buckets. BTW, is that some kind of nut modification you have on that Strat? Can't quite see the bridge past your hand but doesn't look quite standard.

I was wondering that myself.
I love it. I play a similar style of blues (bit of BB King there) Wish you lived this side of the pond, I would love a jam session with you. Cool.

Real sweet, John - thanks for posting that, very enjoyable to watch/listen to. That's now saved to my hard drive for inspiration!

Exellent take John! Really good phrasing.

2 questions:

#1-what did you use for the recording? The sound of your guitar and the backing track sounded amazing!!! And the video had a great quality.

#2- Can i have your backing track?

When I tried dbl clicking on it, it said it wouldn't play in Real Player. So I saved it to a file. Then dbl clicked and it played in Real Player....how odd.

Anyway, John, nice chops, man! And nice tone, too!!

my strat came with a roller nut; there is a pin that the strings rest on that turns as the tension changes,The tunig pegs have locking screws that lock the string down in addition to winding them. I got the BT from the BT page on the web site. I use a line six POD and garage band on my mac. Thanks ,JB

Smooth as silk, John. One day there's going to be a knock on your door. It'll be me and my guitar.

I feel that your talent is instinctual, I'd have to devote a year to my life to get that smoothness and confidence that you exhibit..Do you find playing and learning easy or do you have to work for every lick and phrase (like I do)?

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
