Biography:
To make the story short, 6 months ago an overwhelming urge came over me and it was strong ... then, the opportunity presented itself and I picked out my first guitar in 38 years. :)
Yes, it has been around 38 years since I've been in a guitar store, back then I don't even recall there being different gauge strings. What I did to get a good bend with my strings was to replace the first string with a banjo "A" string, then I raised all the strings up one. It worked great!
It is nice to be back.
How long have you been playing guitar?:
More than 5 years
