My Guitars and Stuff.
Finally got a mobile phone after years of calling them Tumour Creators
So figured i would take advantage of the rather nifty camera that came as a part of it.
Not sure how well attachments work so will do links too.
Guitars Left to Right: Custom Gibson - Godin ACS - Dodgy Gibson Epiphone Copy - Custom Yamaha F-310
Keyboard With obligatory cup of tea, I am English after all.
Roland GR-33 + Tascam Porta07
Effects V-Amp 2 going thru a Zoom 1010 or 2020 not sure anymore into the Porta07.
My Setup My setup from a distance.
For a little more on the guitars.
The first guitar, I don't even know what it is exactly, I think it's a thru body Gibson with a Stratocaster neck. It has the lowest action of any guitar I have ever seen and has a crunch that just has to be heard to be believed. I bought it from a guy in a pub band for 250 quid (about 180 dollars or something) and its the best buy I ever did.
The Godin is a lovely piece of kit, I don't even get close to using it to its full potential, it runs thru the GR-33 Roland Guitar Synth pictured for all sorts of crazy sounds. It has a superb action and is probably my most expensive guitar.
The Epiphone is a cheap bit of kit I bought out of a Pawn shop type store, I only bought it because I didn't really own a Les Paul type guitar and they do have a certain sound. I take the piss out of it, but its a nice little guitar really, does emulate the sound of a gibson quite well so I can't complain about it.
The F-310 is a bit of a ringer, cause it is a pretty crap and cheap guitar, but I had the action and setup changed by a sound engineer who got to work with Jimi Hendrix back in the day, and I have never played an Acoustic guitar of any price to match it for sound and ease of playing.

The black one looks very much like a Telecaster Custom copy, I had one in 85, wish I'd have spent a little more time with it then! Link to a real Fender version

Thanks for the nice replies.
I love the Godin. I got 1500 quid once because the government over taxed me and I got it back out of the blue so I bought the Godin and Synth with that money, as I hate turning round after getting some dosh and realising that I just wasted it on beer and crap, I like to have something years later and think, oh yeah that was a good investment.
The really sad part is, it still has the original strings and battery from 8 years ago I really do need to visit a music shop or get some strings online or something cause it sounds soo gorgeous with new strings.
Since the D string broke, and when I mean broke I don't mean I was playing it, I just went to the guitar one day, and the D string was broke, which is really odd, esp for a D string, I really do need new strings. Just time and money at the moment.

Nice portfolio there Fong. I'm not from England but I always enjoyed my layovers there. We stayed at the St. James Court Hotel. I too am a tea drinker. Must be my British ancestory. (Norfolk to Virginia, circa 1660)

Interesting, 1660 was the year that the Monarchy was restored in England after being under the 'Protectorship' of Oliver Cromwell. Wonder if that influenced their decision.
Isn't there also a Norfolk in Virginia? ("Left my home in Norfolk, Virginia - California on my mind")

Does it say Fender on the headstock? Or on a plate on the back of the guitar? That should confirm or deny it

Has no markings on it at all as far as names go. The Body is completely free of any markings and so is the neck.
Which is why I was never really sure what the hell it was.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
