New picture of my 3 guitars

I posted small cell phone pics of my EC Strat last week - and promised I'd post some better ones.

Yesterday I put my Strat, Les Paul and Yahama FG-180 acoustic all together for a family protrait - and below are the kids, in three viewable sizes.

If ever you decide to enter the twilight zone, do you think you might let me adopt those kids from you?

Seriously though, you've got yourself 3 beauty's there!

Hey Neil,

If you can get me a ticket into the ZONE (preferably round-trip), you can adopt the kids!

Thanks!

You got that right!

I ain't gonna drop my pick or my guitar! I don't have strap locks on the Strat - but that strap is one of those that actually have a type of strap lock built into the plastic end - got it from musicians friend. It takes quite a push on the plastic end piece to get the strap to come off so I know it won't be coming off by itself. I couldn't get that type in a wide/padded version for the LP (which I need cause it's so heavy) so I had to get strap locks put on that when I had it set-up.

Glad you noticed! And those Gator grip picks are great (I usually use those purple .96 ones)

Speaking of picks, if you don't mind my asking... How on earth did you get that pick
under the base of the neck like that... Is the gap that big that you can fit a pick under
there..?!?!?
I ask this because on my Strat, the neck joint is completely flush with the body, and
the pickguard makes it impossible to place a pick there...!!!

Very nice axes, by the way...!!!

I was very surprised - and I don't know if this was part of the Clapton design or not, but the neck is indeed flush with the body, BUT right at the spot the pick is, there is a little notch in the side of the neck wood that allows a pick to *exactly* nestle in there, itself also flush with the body and just resting against the pickup. So, there are no gaps under any part of the neck, just that handy little notch that allows a pick to rest there (and that's exactly where I'd want an extra pick to be while playing). I've seen pictures of players with picks in that area, which is what led me to try and see if my pick would be able to rest there - and it's a perfect little pick niche!
