Smile My Gibson Les Paul

Below are pictures of my Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop - both with and without me! .

I originally got an identical model in 1972, but being a starving musician at the time, I had to sell it in 1975 - and kicked myself for years for doing so. Last summer I really got a bad case of wanting to learn to play the Blues, and found that Gibson had a 30th anniversary reissue of the same guitar. So, I re-acquired my lost LP last September and have named it Larkie (partly because of the songbird and partly because I had it set-up at Lark Street Music, and they did a great job). It's just a fantastic guitar, and at least I don't have to kick myself any longer.

(I also have a Yahama FG-180 acoustic that I've had for over 30 years and it's been a faithful friend to the point where I've literally worn grooves into the fretboard, but I don't have a picture to upload right now, but I'll try to get one and add it when I can).

Jim

Editing: I'm adding some larger images at the end that are the same as first set, but they will take a lot longer to load!

Thanks Kirk!

The only drawback is that if my playing stinks, I can't blame it on my gear!

Hey, larkie is not one of THOSE kind of geetars....

She would never sell herself for money (but *I* might send in those pics of her to the axe mags - maybe start a new one "GuitarBods" and she'd be the first centrefold!)

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
