New A&L acoustic

Finally broke down and bought an acoustic/electric gittar...an Art & Lutherie by Godin. Nice playin' gittar, but being used to my Strat my fingers are a little sore from playin' it so much.

Nice, get the action lowered a bit, maybe throw on some light gauge strings, and enjoy!.

Aren't they just great guitars? I bought a folk model about three weeks ago and just love the sound, feel and smell of it.

A&L Folk Series

I'm used to an electric as well and you're right about the finger pain in switching to an acoustic. I'm going to put some lighter gauge strings on it but I hope it doesn't affect the sound too much.

Congrats - she's a beauty! I've always heard great things about A&L's.

Thanks for commenting on her, folks.

Yeah, I think they're pretty sweet boxes. A varnish finish, kinda like a violin's finish. Hand crafted in Canada, they say. Integrated set neck, Tusq nut, compensated GraphTech saddle, arched (raised) rosette... the top is Spruce on mine. I was figgerin' on spending a lot more. No better that I can play, this'll be plenty acoustic enough for me. Until the next GAS attack, anyway.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
