My new amp

I finally found the amp I've been looking for: A Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. It sings!! I can plug my Strat straight in, no effects whatsoever, and it sounds better than anything I've ever played through. I love it! I bought it yesterday, brand new, and I've been rattling the windows ever since ... in fact I think I'll do it some more.

Here are the stats if anyone is interested: http://www.fender.com/products/searc...tno=0213202000

O K Kirk, why aren't you in the recording studio with it then? Come on, lets hear it!

Oh yes ... she knows, in fact she was egging me on to buy more stuff, like guitars and stuff! Next time.

Attached is a quick mp3 of some slidey playing, straight in, on the 'Drive' channel. The clip doesn't really do it justice though, it sounds much bigger and punchier live. I love it. can't wait to fire it up at a gig. It's got a beautiful clean channel too ...

I played with a guy who owns one and he inspired me so much... not just with the sound from his amp but also from his playing.

The amp was beautifull though. I must say that he was not using the pre amp stage of the amp. He was using some other kind of pre amp wich he plugged directly into the power amp stage. (i think...) I forget now what kind of pre amp it was he was using...

You make the amp sing however Kirk...

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
