I think that was a neat idea. That's the kind of pictures I need to figure out the most basic things I need to record! I learn by seeing and doing, sometimes just reading directions can be confusing. Visual learner I guess!

Wow where did you get the pics from, and what software did you use? I tried to do something similar but does not look as good as that.

Let me know

Why are the effects in the order they are in?

If you go to guitargeek | the guitar rig database, it has drawings similar to this. I altered some of the stuff. Re-coloured pedals, moved status lights, etc. The amp was hardest though. Most famous bands don't have combo amps. I used Paint Shop Pro to do it.

Well I asked on another thread what order they should go and was told the chorus should go after the distortion. The two distortion pedals are in no particular order though.

  Thanks for the idea PepticDust

yours was so cool, thought I'd take a shot at laying out my mess.
Now you post the link{lol} after I finished of course
This is pretty much all of it except for the 4/10 cabinet{which might be sold} and a stand alone cd burner that I only use once in a while.
Now if I could just understand how to use it all. {lol}

If you haven't already, you might want to try the chorus before either both or one of the distortion/overdrive pedals. Sometimes distortion going into a filter/time-delay box sounds a little strident.

Regards.

To all who have posted, these illustrations are great.
X4 I got to admit that that is a mess of wires, makes we want to take a simple recorder and go good enough.
Keep the illustrations coming from all who record cause they are great.

LOL.. Eddie, yeah its pretty sad to have all this equipment and not enough skills to put them to good use. Ah... the simplicity of the old portable tape recorder, can surely be missed at times.
