My 12 String Yamaha FG460-AS (1972 edition?)

Since everyone else has a picture up, thought I'd join the pack...

I play weekly at a blues club in Toronto, and some of the blues players really collect guitars - Louis (CrazyLegs) has about 12 of them, some are vintage, but I don't know much about guitars, yet...

But I'm happy with this one, although it's very heavy to tote around with me, considering I have a hard case and various mikes to carry as well.

I'll probably be looking at either acoustic/electric 6 string or perhaps just an acoustic to see if I can get some of the weight down, along with a soft case.

Looks a really nice guitar, I have an old 80's Yamaha 12 string the model number is FG260 and it's really light. It gets hardly any use these days which is a shame it has a lovely sound.

Nice 12. Maybe you know a friend of mine. Rob Quail. He plays with Jeff Healy at Jeffs blues club on occasion.

I don't know Rob, I don't think, although I DO know the blues bar you're talking about - Grossman's, right? The Celt boys just did a gig there 2 weeks ago. The Club that I play at is a private warehouse, kinda underground to fight the smoking bylaws, you BYOB and play for whomever shows up, which keeps it cool, and you should SEE the sign-in lists - it has been there for 10 years, so book after book of comments and names is a fantastic way to know who was around, and when!

I met Jeff Healey at that bar once upon a time, he thought I was gorgeous...LOL We dated for a bit, but I got tired of always having to drive us everywhere - nothing like a BF who won't drive ya home! hehehe

Grossman's has an ultra-cool venue on Tuesday nights - open blues jam, that I hope to check out soon.

Might meet up with Rob somewhere along the road, thanks for the connect-the-dots thing!

Ellen

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
