New Telecaster

Just bought it last night....'06 Fender Standard (MIM) Tele. The natural ash body & tortoiseshell pg was a Fender 60th anniversary Factory Special Run for GC/MF. Gotta love that twang!

She's a beauty! I'm jealous. I've been thinking of getting a telecaster... might happen this autumn!

I like the natural wood. One day I'll have to move up from a Squire Tele to a Fender.

Thanks, everyone. I played 7 different Teles in the store that day (Baja, 2 Nashvilles, Koa, Hwy1 and 2 MIMs), and this was the one that just wouldn't let me put it down.

That's exactly what I did, Fly - I still have my Affinity BSB Tele also, and like it enough that I won't be letting it go! I think it's going to become a project for mods - experiment with different pups, etc. Eventually I'd like to build a "Partscaster", too.

LOL, Clancy....yes, somehow it sounds better than "Telerat". The Strat is still in my collection, it just seems that I've developed incurable G.A.S.

Careful, Kriss - they're easy to fall in love with! It's such a simple guitar that it's amazing how versatile it can be.

Nice lookin' ax, Stratrat. Makes me want one, too. "Twang" has a special place in my heart. Even the word itself sounds cool. Twang......

I like the pickguard. Looks good with the natural finish.

ax and ye shall receive
