I've got it!

No, not a contagious disease, nor the location of The Grail, my new guitar, my 1st ever guitar, a Santos Martinez Classical. It looks beautiful, it even smells beautiful.

I haven't got a clue how to play it yet, but i will do. I think the only reason i've told you this is because it's a thing of beauty, therefore, a joy forever lol.

Congratulations...

It is wonderful to have a guitar.

When I was around eight years old, I remember trying to make a guitar out of an old cigar box, and a yardstick (long wooden ruler) ... and that is the solemn truth.

The Beatles were hot, it was somewhere around 1964 or 65.

I hope you learn to allow the guitar to be your heart's voice.

Well, my memory isn't what it was, i have arthritus in my knee, elbows and fingers and my fingers are far to short anyways, i just know they are. So, i'll be happy if i can learn to play the simplest of tunes. As long as i enjoy it, it's gotta be better than just watching the TV, right?

You make me laugh! I'm the same ... I have small hands and arthritis, and just love playing my guitar. The happiness factor is probably much greater than any great guitar playing I'll do. And it's much better than TV!

You inspired me to finally buy that classical guitar I've been lusting after. Here it is.

Lovely guitars both of you.

If it's any encouragement, I had arthritis in my left pinky when I started and I assumed I'd never really be able to use that finger. Far from it. The exercise actually seemed to free it up. Haven't had any pain in it for well over a year now. And the hands that were stiff and uncooperative now fly round the guitar like birds. Music is a wonderful hobby and an endless pleasure... Hope you have as much fun as I do.

Cheers,

Chris

wow..me too..

the one I got (finally), was plastic, I don't think it was a bona fide 'Beatles' guitar..that would have been cool...

Mine had nylon strings of course, and a little suction cup mounted little
mic and amp. It was pretty cool.

Of course, I had concerts in my backyard, daily.

That's one nice guitar. Classical is a breeze to learn...

Yesterday was history, tommrow is a mystery, today is a gift. I'm moving on and starting over. There are things that have been done and past. You cannot change what's done but you can change what has not been. I will fall down and I'll pick myself back up again.
