Hi from West Australia

Hi all,

Firstly, congratulations to Kirk and Clancy - and everybody involved with the site – on doing a wonderful job. The information you’ve provided here is just terrific. I look forward to working through some of it.

I’m another ‘older beginner’ and have now been fiddling around with guitar for somewhere around 18 months – 2 years, but in a fairly unsystematic way.

I can play a few simple songs in what you might call a ‘campfire strumming’ style but I need to knuckle down and get a bit more serious about it all.

This looks like a great places to find all the elements – both the information and some other travellers to share the journey with. Thanks for the opportunity to be here.

Chris

Thanks for the welcomes.

I've been wandering around the site and have been sooooo impressed with what's here and how well it's all presented.

The problem for me is going to be choosing which of the goodies to start nibbling on first. I'm feeling a little bit like a glutton at a smorgasbord right now - wanting to dash in and pile the plate up...

OK now.... take a deep breath and try one... thing... at... a ... time....

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Just wanted to say "Hi" and "Welcome" in your official intro thread.

Good to see you over here. I'm certain you'll find a wealth of info both in the great lessons and the forum itself.

Cheers mate!

Hi guys,

Nice to see so many familiar faces - Bennet and Hilch of course, but I've already spotted racetruck and Fretsource from that 'other place' too. And a review from Nick. I'm sure there are many others.

And lots of fellow Aussies too. You can tell by the drink in their avatar (hi, peter!), their name (hi, coldethyl!) and sometimes their photo (XXXX hilch??)

Geez, I can see a few more hours of 'practice time' disappearing down the Internet plughole...

Cheers,

Chris
