hello fellow guitarists!

Hi! My name is Kayleigh. I'm 19 and i'm from England. I joined about 2 days ago and i've finally decided to post.

I decided to take up the guitar for a new years resolution, i've only learnt a few basic chords at the moment but i am really enjoying it. I've just got over the evil sore fingers (didn't last too long, probably because i still have callouses left over from playing the Violin) and hopefully i should be playing a few of my favourite songs by the end of the week

anyway, this place seems really cool and noob friendly, i will be looking forward to posting more soon!

Hello and welcome. Life certainly does get easier with callouses. Only down side, for me at least is the fact I seem to have lost a touch of sensitivity in my fingertips due to callouses and when working on web sites (touch typing) I sometimes wander off the home position for my left hand. mmm, small price to pay when rewarded with the buzz of guitar playing.
oops there I go rambling again.... enough, back to my guitar

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
