hello from Denmark

Hi everyone,
I am originally from Ireland, where growing up, it seemed as if everone, including my family could sing, do the riverdance or play an instrument... i couldn't, so rather than feeling inept,...I emigrated Now, aged 40, & 3 teenagers and a todler later, I decided to try to learn the guitar...Who knows, maybe one day I will go back to Ireland

Anyway, I finally got a guitar last week (christmas present) and desparate for knowledge, I came across this site. Looks like the friendliest place on the internet, so i decided to join up. Anyway, hoping to make progress (and friends) with your help. Family are all hoping so too,... they are getting a bit bored of 'Knock knock knocking on heaven's door" which is the limit of my accomplishements so far.

Sorry for the long post.
All the best. Denis.

Welcome. If you can do Heavens Door then try The House of the Rising Sun lesson. One of the easier ones here.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
