I think you can do well here. Be sure to go back to the BG&B main page and check out the basic lessons in the nav bar or the red banner at the top of the page or jump right into the lessons here if you feel confident enough.

YA KNOW????? All I want to do is learn some G n R...however, I have found this site to be super helpful...C G A D....that's all I need for "patience"....and well, I know its all about "E"... in any case, once I develop my "Man hands", it'll be all good.... Thanks for the empathy, it's nice to know I'm not the only one....

You can do both at once seeing as the tab can tell you where to put the fingers for the chords. Focus on the chords a lot. When you really know your chords you won't have to rely on tabs so much to make music. A common mistake that can come back to haunt you is to focus on tabs too much.. That's fine if you have a very good memory. If not you will find yourself saying, at parties, yes I have played guitar for years, but I can't play anything now because I don't have my tab sheets with me. I have met a lot of piano player like that, they can play anything in front of them and nothing without their music sheets.
