Greetings All

Hi All

I am new to the forum and have been playing the guitar for just over a year. I am plonking along but I am inspired when I meet other guitarists, novices and experts alike.

Hope to interact with some of you and maybe learn a some techniques through the forum.

Sundancer

  Thanks for the Welcome

Hi All,

Thanks for the welcome. I get a feeling I am really going to enjoy interacting with you.

Let me take this opportunity to ask you if you know where I can get a comprehensive history of the Ibanez accoustic guitar range. I know there is a lot of hype about lawsuit guitars, but I just love beautiful & great sounding guitars. I have an Ibanez Concord 12 string guitar (model number 646, no serial number) and I would like to know how old it is. It doesn't have the open book head so I know it isn't a Gibson copy, but I speculate that it was made in the 1970's. Can this be? If you have any information I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Found this on the Ibanez site: It is possible to send pictures of your instrument (back and front) to Ibanez Instrument Identification, Box 886, Bensalem, PA 19020 for identification. We can only aid those who send a picture and this service is available only on models sold in the United States. We cannot give the production figures of how many of a particular model were made. Please allow 3-4 weeks for a reply. Please do not send one of a kind pictures as we cannot guarantee return.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
