New to the guitar community

Hi everyone,

I'm a brand new guitarist and am online to learn as much as I can.
I'm 21 and currently live in Brisbane Australia, got a steel string cort which does the job nicely.
I am originally a pianist and keyboardist playing for about 5 years, and am now branching out in the world of strings and am really enjoying it. Hopefully I'll be able teach myself and
learn through communities like this one online and then be able to start a metal and acoustic rock bands I've been planning to start for a while. Thanks heaps to everyone making this site a success.
All the best and talk soon,

Lionel

G'day Lionel.

Welcome to the forum - we have quite a strong Aussie presence here, as you probably have noticed, with Kirk in Mt Tamborine and all. This is a great community - lots of willing and knowledgeable folk to share with. If you're ever down to the Gold Coast, look me up

Enjoy your stay!

Ian

Cheers Ian,

Its great to have a community of Australians and internationals alike, and to have a place to share music, and I hope to contribute once I get a bit better.
I'll have to listen to some of the music on here, we can post our music on this site?

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
