Hello
Hello , im a 15 year old and come from Slovenia.
I started playing the guitar a couple of weeks ago and since i only have lessons once a week ( not as much as id like but i still learn stuff ) i try to learn more from the internet.
Im going to look at the lessons you guys have up here, but i need to ask you . Can these lessons be applied to the electric guitar ?

Hi Thor, welcome to the forum!
As far as applying the lessons to electric guitar, the fingerstyle lessons really should be done on either nylon or steel string acoustic, but there is certainly no hard and fast rule that say's you can't do them on electric. Through an amp it would be better on clean settings rather than overdriven.
You could do the slide lessons on electric if you are so inclined.

Hi there Thor, the forums about The Workings of Music, Playing the Guitar, the Beginners Lessons and Fretsouce Lessons etc all deal with learning about the basics of music and apply to any sort of music. Whether you play electric or acoustic, that knowledge is useful for both. I'm sure you'll find plenty of things to help you learn about guitar playing at this site. Welcome

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
