Hello from Massachusetts!
Hey everyone!! My name is Dani and I move around a lot! I'm in between Worcester and Boston right now, Massachusetts, soon to move to Austin, Texas; the rhyming cities weren't planned! Didn't think I could move to the live music capital without at least being able to at least strum a guitar and I was hoping to meet a few like minded others to groan to when my fingertips start hurting... and they have!! And to share the good stuff too! The guitar is not my first instrument, and is one I've been meaning to pick up for years. I've had this poor acoustic in my closet for over three now; past time it sees some lime-light!
Someone once told me shoulder straps are an insight into a player's personality; mine is bright red with cartoon cows printed on it! What does that say about me? The design around my guitar's... er... hole? .... is pretty leaves, with a much more classic feel. An Ovation, I've named it Kabong, because that's the noise it made when I dropped it, fresh off the shelf. My electric guitar is jet black, purdy, and has only been in the closet since last Christmas! Yeah yeah, one of THOSE people with one of each before ever they've plucked a tune, but I've never met an instrument I didn't like! ^.~
Anyway, looking forward to chewing the fat with you lot as I struggle to become a decent player! Wish me luck, and expect to hear from me! Thrilled to find this site!
~Dani~

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
