Hey everyone!

Hey, I found this website from a post on HC (Harmony Central). What an awesome site! I have been playing for two years now, and decided recently I was going to backtrack and learn things the "correct" way. I just logged on here and learned greensleeves, how cool is that!

I have been so tired of all this Metallica, Ozzy, etc. I have been playing... learning some new stuff outside of the metal genre is excellent. Are their alot of blues players on here? I would really like to start learning some blues stuff, so if you all have any tips fpr begining the blues, they are much appreciated.

Cheers,

Hi silverbullet. You will find this place a lot more civil tha H.C. I was amazed at some of the stuff that goes on there.I have been known to play a blues tune or two. You have probably noticed that the lessons here are based around chords so that is also a great way to approach blues. Think b3 and 7s with a#4 or two thrown in and your playing the blues.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
