A Big hello from London

Hello and thanks Kirk for all these lessons.

I stumbled across your site a little while back via guitarnoise.com, and now wait with baited breath to access each weekly lesson.

Each time I watch a new video click I think I will never be able to manage the fingering and without fail - and after numerous re-runs of your video clips - I manage to master it (well maybe 'master' is a bit strong!).

So a real thank you from me.

Great to hear from you, Uncle Tupelo, thanks for posting that.

If you have the Kinks' 'Muswell Hillbillies' album, 1972 or so, there's a red door in the background of a picture of them, on the cover ... I lived there at the time. It was on Southwood Lane, Highgate.

I did a few London stints back then. Highgate was definitely the classiest. We got on well, London and me.

Hello Kirk,

I do indeed know that road as I spent a few years in Golders Green (the - slightly less salubrious - other side of the hill to Highgate and Hampstead) so spent a lot of time drinking in Highgate!

I also have the Kinks album to which you refer (my second favourite Kinks album after the beautiful 'Village Green..') so will check out the cover when I get home tonight!

Small world eh!

Now a fingerpicked lesson version of 'Picture Book', that would be a treat!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
