<waves to the room>hehehe
Hey all,
My name is Dennis and I am new here to GFB forum. I have played guitar for about 25 years and let me tell you, that people who have played as long as I have but had teachers and other musicians to play with are extremely better than I am. I have basic theory down, but having problem hearing different intervals...This doesn't help with my scale work. Am using different software to help with this interval problem but it is definately a very slow process.
I live in Arizona and I am a Transportation Specialist. (AKA:taki driver) Music is my life and my life is my music. I have been writing music since about the age of 7 or 8 and then picked up the guitar. Self taught through books and the recent advent of the internet. Have played professionally on the street corners of California and made decent money at it. Surprising that I got as much as I did not playing cover tunes. ( I hate doing cover tunes!) Now more into recording my music as there is so much to record. Would love to have other people in on the profects for I feel there is a better sound when more than just one perspective is present. plus i can't drum
Look forward to hearing from all of you and any help is totally appreciated.
~

Hey dennis I fixed your link on your other post, the link you posted was supposed to be a 1 not an i.
But welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy the ride.

Welcome Dennis. You're in the right spot, chances are you'll be able to find a couple other folks around here that love music and the guitar too.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
