Hi y'all

My name is RC and I'm two days older than dirt . I've been noodling on guitars for more years than I care to admit. I just finished looking around in here I and I have to say...thanks to the wonders of technology and the wonderful folks in here, I may just be able to move ahead in my playing. This site is a God send.

Hey RC,
I'm sure you'll benefit from this site.

I have gotten a tremendous boost in my playing from the technical and supportive help given by several folks here.

I expect to hear your playing soon.

Signature? What's a signature? Oh. you mean like C or F ? :)

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've always been a Woody Guthrie kinda picker. As you may know, Woody was fond of saying.... "if you know more than three chords, yer showing off" or something similar.

For the most part, it's worked for me in terms of siimple country and John Prine kind of music but more and more I find myself hooked on finger style. I'm leaning a lot towards Travis style and ol' Willie is no slouch either.

Glad to be aboard and I'm looking forward to knowing all of you in the future.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
