Hi all

I just spent a rather pleasant day reading this forum after finding a link on the guitarnoise site. I learned quite a bit!

I am particularly impressed by how patient and helpful everyone is here; that is rare on the internet.

I am trying to learn guitar at age 45, and having fun so far. I did make a half-hearted effort back in high school, but I didn't really put much effort into it. Hopefully, this time will be different---I think it will.

Hello Comfy This is a great forum, I know I've been really impressed with everyones patience and help. Age is no barrier, music keeps you young at heart,I too started playing as a teenager but did'nt stick with it for one reason or another so i'm starting over at 55, age is just a state of mind. Good luck.

Welcome- if you stick with it this time around, you'll be able to have a much deeper appreciation for the instrument than you had in high school. It's much like a love affair. Best to you

Hello to you Comfycan - I agree with cshude, the older we get the more appreciation we have. I think that goes for everything in life but the guitar has a magic all it's own. Enjoy it and have fun.

High school is a bad place to try and learn anything worthwhile, this is a great place to learn to play guitar! Welcome to the forum.

That means it wil be different, if two people try to do something and one person says he can and the other says he cant they're both right

Good luck to you Comfycan. I'm about the same age and just starting out too. I don't think I would have been as serious about learning guitar if I had done it earlier in my life. Things happen when the time is right I guess. Have fun!
