Howdy!

Hi, my name is Eric and I've decided to get back into the electric guitar world. I have been playing off and on for the last 20 years or so. For a few of those years I was in a heavy metal band (mostly for fun). We played mostly Metallica, some Black Sabbath, Death Angel, Ozzy, and the likes. I loved it. When I went to university, I put that hobby asside. A few years went by and I ended up selling all my gear in exchange for a cheap Yamaha accoustic guitar. I had a Ibanez RG550 and A Marshall 2550 Silver Anniversary Edition. I have realized that technology has evolved a lot in the last 10 years. I'm in the market for some new gear and I'll be researching the new trends of what's hot and what's not.

I guess you could call me a beginning veteran looking forward to get back in the groove.

Eric

Welcome, Eric. It's good to read that you're diving back into the Wonderful World Of Twang. There's nothing like it.

Hello all

I have been visiting and learning from Kirks sites for just over a year now and I have not introduced myself.
I am born and raised Canadian living in Toronto. One of many Canadians it seems from reading other intros.

I have been playing for about 15 yrs off and on and have gone from thinking about trying a "carreer of some sort in music" (when I was hanging out with a bunch of luthiers) to "stop dreaming and sell your equipment" (when I got married)

I was very close to the latter when I stumbled apons Kirks lessons and it(he) completely renewed my love for the guitar and for making music.
After learning my first few lessons my wife would say "I did not know you could play stuff like that"...it wasnt long before she started to gain interest in her old hobby, singing.
Now we spend many evenings in the garage/studio making music and have a great time. Playing guitar has never been so fulfilling and fun.

I know I have said it many time before Kirk but I just cant say it enough...THANK YOU so much for EVERYTHING!

Keep up the amazing job you do.
