hi there :)

hi there im steph and just brought an electric guitar. ive never played before but am determined to learn. are there any basic online sited for the chords? i have no idea what they are and where to put my fingers
any help is apprieciated i really want to learn

thanks guys. at the moment it is a matter of remembering each chord and switching between the twoim enjoying it so far though. and cant wait to learn my first song. i used to be able to lpay the simpsons a lonnngg time ago (but thats all i could play lol, a mate taught me it) anyone know the best place to get a stand? ive only got a bag

can anyone reccomend any good teach yourself books?

electric sound is easy, look for power chords online , distort then rock, it's awful but good fun, go, go, go.

Too right for a quick fix learn smoke on the water and eye of tiger, loads of distortion to hide the slightly off cords until you get the hang of them.

Only started playing this weekend on the electric after playing acoustic for 6 months but had great fun, its very different and a different satisfaction but I do prefer acoustic.

When you feel more adventurous move onto Seven Nation Army and some Nirvana smells like team spirit and really rock!

As for books I use the Complete rock guitarist DVD with Peter Finlay, its gets you playing straight away and you learn some great songs / riffs in the process.
