Another newbie

Well, I just thought I'd introduce myself. I've just started playing guitar, The only other musical background I have is Piano, but it doesn't seem to help me with this

I've been following the True Beginner's Lesson Part 1.

Though I can play a long to the backing, i can't switch cleanly though, so more practice

Would something like this be ok to use?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Cherub-WSM...QQcmdZViewItem

I really would find it useful if it accented the first beat of the bars too

I love the look of the mechanical ones but I wouldn't work out how to work one. Haha

Welcome Alienfish, I think once you get the mechanics of guitar down your piano is going to come in pretty handy

Hi Alienfish

Welcome and hope you learn loads here . There's tons of helpful information and you're already on your way with Kirk's beginners lessons (I did that myself a few weeks back and really enjoyed it.......you'll find your changes become smoother with practice).

That's not a bad metronome on e-bay.........I've seen exactly the same one on another UK site for £17 (before P&P).

Good luck
