Hello

I've just joined and would like to introduce myself. Although I've been playing for around 11 years, I still find new things I need to learn and practice. Looking forward to what you guys can teach me.

Welcome Snaar. There's always something new to learn, & if there isn't someone will invent something tomorrow.

Snaar, Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll teach us something...

I see you are from Alberton, I live in Rustenburg about 1.5 hours drive I'd say... I actually have inlaws living in Alberton... Nice to share the forum with a fellow South African.

What styles do you play?

Hello Snaar

Welcome aboard! That's one of the great things about playin' guitar. There's always something new to learn, no matter how long one has been at it.

Thanks Wernhalen. I actually started playing in Rustenburg and used to travel there every Friday afternoon and come back Sunday morning. Probably went on like that for more than a year. I still play there now and again as two of the guys that play with me still live there, Deon from Deonak plumbing and Jan from some platinum mine. I play different styles but am most proficient in the music of Hansie Roodt and Ricardo Bornman, and from boeremusiek to hard rock. I am now looking at starting to learn fingerpicking as that is the one thing that still floors me totally.

Hey,

Sorry imissed you post... I thought you were gone completely... I have met Deon once a long time ago. cant say I've seen him in a while either or that I would recognise him if I saw him on the street. I think my father in law knows him.

Anyway good luck on the finger picking...

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
